Program Lead – Fellowship & Local Democracy Programme
Location: Jamshedpur, Jharkhand (with regular travel across project districts)

About the Programme: SMS is implementing the Fellowship Programme and the Local Democracy (LD) Programme, supported by the Azim Premji Foundation, to nurture youth leadership, strengthen constitutional values, promote active citizenship, and deepen democratic governance across four districts of Jharkhand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and review of both programmes.
- Prepare work plans and track progress against programme goals.
- Lead programme documentation, data analysis, result matrix tracking, and knowledge management.
- Build the capacity of Fellows through mentoring, review, and cross-learning.
- Facilitate coordination with government departments, academic institutions, CSOs, and other stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Rural Development, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in programme management within the development sector.
- Experience in youth leadership, governance, constitutional values, local democracy, fellowship programmes, or community institutions.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Administrative Staff

Position Summary: SMS is seeking a proactive and organized Administrative Staff to support the efficient functioning of the office and programme operations. The position will provide administrative, logistical, financial, and documentation support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office administration, filing systems, and official records.
- Support the Finance Officer with daily accounting tasks, petty cash management, procurement, and financial records.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, training programmes, workshops, and field events.
- Maintain staff attendance, leave records, and basic HR documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's/ Master degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Management, or any relevant discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in office administration, finance support, or administrative operations, preferably in the development sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital documentation.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
